Repuclicans vote on gun conrol

US House Republicans Have Agreed to Vote on Gun Control

HOUSE REPUBLICANS AGREE TO VOTE ON GUN CONTROL!!! Thursday, just a week after the sit-in protest staged by 170 House Democrats demanding a vote on gun control legislation, Paul Ryan said he will allow a vote.

Accrding to The Hill, Ryan told Republicans on a conference call “that the House will take up a terrorism package that will include measures to disrupt radicalization and recruitment, as well as a provision to prevent suspected terrorists from purchasing guns.”

It was not clearly stated which bill will be brought floor. Some believe that Ryan will select a bill too weak of Democrats and protests will continue.

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), a member of the protest after his mother told him to, said that many Democrats “have an appetite to do more than the sit-in,” and that the next action “certainly could be” some form of civil disobedience.”

“I don’t know what that is now, but I think we’re going to keep fighting,” he said. “The American people need to know that the Republicans are going to join with us to put some sane gun laws in place.”
