Hello ladies and gentlemen. I’m hoping for some advice on a situation. I just moved to California less than a month ago. I had a FFL ship my Gen4 Glock to a FFL dealer in California. Upon trying to retrieve my Gen4 Glock in California, the California FFL said I can’t have it because they are banned and he has to ship back to the originating FFL out of California. After some research it seems that there are ways to get my Gen4 Glock in California legally. I’m not LE, nor was this a gift or inheritance. I purchased it legally more than 5 years ago while I was a resident at originating state. I’d really like my Gen4 Glock legally in California. Any options you guys can think of? As I said I’ve only been in California a month so I’m still not a resident yet. Can I have my Glock shipped back to originating state and get it from the FFL and fly it in my checked luggage? My originating FFL said I have to buy it back from him via a police purchase permit or some strange stuff that doesn’t make sense.
