White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci has been fired after just a week into the job, according to reports.
Scaramucci was brought in by Trump personally to serve as President Donald Trump’s point man for the media, but lost confidence with staff after having a frank and profane conversation with New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza who published the details.
Scaramucci’s exit signals that White House chief of staff Gen. John Kelly is taking further control of Trump’s administration, despite the president’s own wishes.
I guess this is yet another record for President Trump’s White House: The shortest-serving White House communications director. On one hand, this just demonstrates that hiring Mooch was a bad decision in the first place and that the White House is still in chaos. On the other hand, this is John Kelly cleaning up the mess. One can only hope that John Kelly is being empowered by the President and is getting the White House on track.
Interestingly enough, the Mooch was so motivated to get into the White House that he sold his company and screwed up his marriage.
